Join Marc Unger, writer/director of the hit series Thespian (seasons 1&2 now on Amazon and Prime) for an eight week online workshop designed to help writers looking to strengthen all aspects of their scene and script writing. You will be asked to bring in a complete or partial draft or some ideas for a webseries, episodic series, short film or one act play and the goal will be to develop the work and get as close to a finished draft as we can. Course will include a weekly three hour Tuesday night group meeting from 7-10pm as well as up to one hour of individual online or phone coaching each week. Topics covered include:
- Story structure and heightening the stakes
- The elements of a scene
- Thematic unity
- Narrative flow
- Creating compelling characters and situation
- Understanding the three act structure
- The importance of rising and falling action
- Learning how to get the most out of every line of dialogue
WORKSHOP INCLUDES A FINAL ZOOM READING OF YOUR WORK BY PROFESSIONAL ACTORS
